$19.5M in Refunds Coming to Cook County Homeowners

WBBM/Channel 2

Thousands of Cook County homeowners will be getting a property tax refund thanks to legislation passed last year to increase existing tax exemptions, according to a report by WBBM/Channel 2.

The Treasurer’s Office plans to return automatically about 19.5 dollars in refunds to 53,000 homeowners.
