The delinquent taxes on about 37,000 properties could be sold at the auction that starts May 4, 2018, Treasurer Maria Pappas said during an interview with Amy Jacobson, co-host of the Morning Answer on WIND/560-AM.

Property owners can use cookcountytreasurer.com to see if their taxes are delinquent, Pappas said. Homeowners can also us the website to see if they are receiving the property tax exemptions, which can reduce the amount of money they own.
